Safety Policies & Airport Procedures

Baggage: Each customer may bring one bag that weighs up to 100 pounds and measuring no more than 27”x14”x38” free of charge. Check the TSA Website for restricted items.

Boarding: Passengers not checked in 60 minutes prior to boarding may have their seat sold to another customer.     

Fares: Changes made more than 24 hours prior to date and time of travel will incur a $35.00 change fee per flight. Changes made less than 24 hours prior to date and time of travel will incur a $69.00 change fee per flight. Tickets are nontransferable. Fares and rules are subject to change without notice. If you do not show up at the boarding gate by the check-in deadline, the full fare will be charged and you will not be entitled to a refund.  

Reservations: We, or our authorized agent, will record your reservation(s). With your consent, we will provide you with written confirmation of your reservation(s) via e-mail. Certain fares have conditions that limit or exclude your right to change or cancel reservations.

Children under 2 years of age are accepted by ACO at no additional charge provided they are seated on the lap of an adult. Proof of age may be requested of a child passenger. Parents of Infants who are less than 14 days old may be asked to supply a physician’s note, prior to boarding, stating the approval of such travel due to the passenger’s age.  Some destinations may require a payment of taxes or fees for an infant passenger and ACO will collect these fees or added charges. Passengers weighing from 350-400 pounds are required to buy an additional seat on our aircraft. Passengers weighing 400 pounds or more will not be permitted to board our aircraft as weight and balance of our aircraft is a very important factor for the safe execution of every flight.

Privacy: The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires you to provide your full name, date of birth, and gender for the purpose of watch list screening, under the authority of 49 U.S.C. section 114, the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 and 49 C.F.R parts 1540 and 1560. ?You may also provide your Redress Number, if available. Failure to provide your full name, date of birth, and gender may result in denial of transport or denial of authority to enter the boarding area. TSA may share information you provide with law enforcement or intelligence agencies or others under its published system of records notice. ??For more on TSA privacy policies, or to review the system of records notice and the privacy impact assessment, please see the TSA Web site at www.tsa.gov.

You will be required to provide us with personal data for the purposes of making a reservation, purchasing a ticket, obtaining ancillary services, developing and providing services, facilitation of immigration and entry procedures, and making available such data to government agencies in connection with your travel. For these purposes, you authorize us to retain and use such data and to transmit it to our own offices, authorized agents, government agencies, other carriers, or the providers of the above mentioned services.

At no time will ACO share or sell information to any other outside source.

Minors: If a passenger is between the ages of 5-12 and traveling without a parent or legal guardian then they must be classified an UM. A parent or guardian must fill out the UM form prior to check-in and follow the rules and procedures described Air Choice One’s UM policy.

If your child is between the ages of 13-18 and you would still like them to fly as an UM you have the option to arrange such service, just let an ACO agent know upon booking your flight.

Children 2 and under are able to sit on the lap of their parent or guardian and fly for free. If you want to place your child in a safety seat you must purchase a ticket at full price for that child. The safety seat must also be in compliance with the rules and restrictions of the DOT. Please view our Conditions of Carriage for more details.

Firearms and Ammunition: Firearms and ammunition, other than for hunting and sporting purposes are prohibited from carriage as baggage. At our sole discretion, we may permit the transportation of firearms and ammunition for hunting and sporting purposes provided that our rules for such transportation are adhered to strictly. No Exceptions – you must call 866-435-9847 in advance to notify us of your intent to transport a firearm and/or ammunition.

Firearms that are unloaded and locked inside a hard-sided case may be carried as checked baggage. All firearms checked in this manner must be declared unloaded and attested to by signing a written declaration at the check-in counter.

Ammunition must be in the original container or in a wooden or metal box. Ammunition must not exceed 10-pounds.  Firearm case cannot be larger than 36’’ X 14’’ X 4 ½”.  Ammunition and Firearms cannot be in the same checked bag.  Exceptions to this would be FBI, Secret Service, LEO prisoner escort, FFDO, FAM, and anyone else authorized to carry a concealed or unconcealed weapon(s).
